A New Creation

Thanks to a generous grant of $10,000, the Prayer House Community has just completed a thorough renovation of the Prayer House hermitage. Throughout the house, the following improvements have been made that enhance the living space with grace and beauty:
  • New insulated windows
  • New doors
  • New wiring
  • New bedding
  • New carpet
  • New refrigerator
  • New tile flooring
  • New couch in the living room
The bathroom has been renovated. The air conditioner which we already had continues to keep the hermitage cool. Everyone who visits is delighted by the beautiful and more expansive space!

A New Challenge

Just as we completed the renovations with the last dollars of the grant we were faced with a new challenge. The community well that provides water to the Prayer House is no longer able to accommodate all the households that use it. We have decided to join Penn House, the adjoining property, and drill a well together that will be used by both homes. This could be completed as early as August of this year. Once again, the waters will flow!

We now need to raise the money to pay for the new well. We calculate that the Prayer House share will be at least $6,000. This includes the proportional cost of surveys, permits, materials and labor.

God is gracious and has already sent us a generous donor who has given $1,000 to this project. It challenges each of us to give generously to match this gift, or to give a gift of whatever amount we can. Won't you consider giving to keep the water flowing at the Prayer House?
